The Art and Science of Storytelling Finding Meaning In the stories we live everyday

Lakshmi and Dharma

Living With Purpose

This is an invitation to step into deeper alignment with the sacred work of being wholeheartedly yourself. It is a space to explore the nuance, complexity, and lived practice of uncovering your personal truth and its ripple into the greater, universal truth.

Join me for a 2 hour contemplative workshop exploring the radiant essence of Lakshmi, goddess of beauty, abundance, and inner harmony, and the guiding force of Dharma, the personal and universal structure of alignment that carries us toward right living.

What We’ll Explore:

Lakshmi is often seen as a goddess of beauty and wealth, but she is not ornamental or passive. She is fierce. She is disciplined. She is the keeper of cosmic law.

She holds the purusharthas, the four aims of life: dharma, artha, kama, and moksha: purpose, wealth, pleasure, and liberation. These are not gifts for wishing. They are earned through alignment, honesty, and spiritual maturity. Her blessings are not rewards. They are mirrors that reflect how we are living.

Her abundance is not transactional. It arises when we meet life with devotion and integrity. She offers herself to those who are willing to walk into the fire of their own becoming.

Dharma is the invisible structure that holds all things. It is not about moral performance. It is the architecture of the soul. When we live in alignment with dharma, life becomes more clear and more true. When we are out of alignment, things fall apart.

There are many forms of dharma. The path of parenting. The path of land stewardship. The path of work and service. Not all dharma is visible, public, or heroic. Some of the most sacred callings are quiet, steady, and humble. Sometimes your purpose is not to save the world, but simply to bring peace to your neighborhood, family, or community.

Dharma is not measured by scale. It is measured by truth.

Inside The Workshop:

This experience will be a blend of storytelling, meditation, journaling, discussion, and reflection. We will begin with the sacred stories of the ancient goddess Shri Lakshmi, whose presence invites both beauty and responsibility. Each practice is offered not as a performance, but as a doorway into deeper alignment, sincere gratitude, and the kind of astonishment that rises when we meet our lives with honesty and presence.
